Stainless Steel Brake Line

PTFE-lined brake hose wrapped in braided stainless steel. Replaces the OEM rubber lines that swell under pressure. The result is a firmer pedal feel and slightly better brake modulation. Goodridge, Earl's, and HEL are common JDM-fitment brands. Required to pass tech inspection at most JDM track day organizations.

Big Brake Kit (BBK)

An aftermarket brake upgrade replacing OEM calipers, rotors, and pads with larger components. BBKs reduce fade under heavy track use and shorten stopping distances. Popular brands include Brembo, AP Racing, StopTech, Endless, and Project Mu. Properly sizing a BBK requires matching wheel clearance and brake bias to the vehicle's weight distribution.

Brake Bleeding

The process of removing air bubbles from brake hydraulic lines after pad changes, fluid swaps, or caliper service. Trapped air compresses under pedal force, producing a soft pedal. Typical JDM bleed order: passenger rear, driver rear, passenger front, driver front (furthest from master cylinder first). Track-prepped cars use DOT 4 or DOT 5.1 fluid bled before every event.
