Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control, Mitsubishi's variable valve timing and, on lift versions, its answer to VTEC. On the Evo IX's 4G63 it added intake cam phasing for a broader torque curve and quicker spool than the fixed-cam Evo VIII that preceded it.
